Don't worry if your not as big as I am yet. If you keep eating right, you can have my same build when your 2 as well. But that's not what this post is about. I wanted to write about my PARTY. It was the best party ever. I had the Harris cousins there, the Haws cousins there, Linda and Duane, and Grandpa and Grandma Haws there too! We had a pot-luck dinner, and then a PINATA! It was lighting mcqueen, and he was LOADED with candy. Here is a video of me showing off my pinata breaking abilities. We then had cake (made by grandma) and ice cream and opened presents. My parents think I received way too many gifts. I don't think so.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v19.nonxt7.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D8909e49a091bd855%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331207369%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D12B9C8E6027515B9736AEEC7AB8C6D46E86CC06B.129A78F1AF019FB1B1730FBEFD3299BAB8AECA01%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D8909e49a091bd855%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DtkmGb97pihE99gTTnP8yM_lcwPM&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

My Sister

My sister is finally here. It's been great, I've gotten to watch a lot of "pooh bear" and "Cars" movies while Mom and Dad have unpacked and cleaned. Mom wanted to, but Dad felt like he had enough projects to keep him busy so they decided against it. I included a little picture of the missing chunk and lucky Daddy working on that wall.

Now we are pretty settled in and getting use to having a little more space. During the days that are warm Mommy and me have wandered around the neighborhood and visited the nearby parks and schools. During the days that are cold Daddy has tested out the wood stove, which gets us all nice and toasty. He wants to get some cutters and prune the trees for more kindling. Mommy suggested he use his machete, but he was worried the neighbors might be a little scared of us. I love to watch the birds and squirrels that play in the trees in our backyard, yea for spring! Mommy only has about two weeks left until my little sister is suppose to arrive, so soon I'll have a new playmate around the house. Actually, I know little babies make lousy playmates until they get bigger, but Mommy and Daddy keep bugging me about her so now I feign a little more interest in the subject. We'll have to wait and see if she really is worth all the fuss. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter and keep your fingers crossed for the Easter Bunny to visit.

A New Bed!

My parents have been talking to me alot lately about being a big boy. They say that if I am going to have a little sister I have to be a big boy brother. As part of being a big boy I moved out of the crib this week and into a toddler bed. We went to the store and I got to pick out my sheets. I picked out the one's with stripes and fish. I've been very excited to go to bed on my stripe and fish sheets.

I'm still getting use to the idea of sleeping in one spot at night, instead of rolling around. My family and I traveled to Arizona to spend some time with Grdpa and Grdma Haws. It had been snowing quite a bit, with another storm expected, so we decided to leave home a day early. Luckily I have great cousins in Vancouver that let us come hang out a day longer. I was pretty excited to go on my first plane ride. We left the cold weather in Portland and touched down in sunny Arizona. What a transition! I love the sun!

The plane ride was boring except for the drink I poured on Dads lap. It was hilarious! You should have seen his face. Anyway, we all had a great time in Arizona. I think Dad especially liked getting re-aquainted with the cactus.

Hugging a Barrel Cactus! Give me a break!

We had a lot of fun while in AZ. The highlight was talking with Grandpa and Grandma Kellogg in the Phillipines.

On another note, my parents were finally able to get the peg-leg dance on film. I also had my signature "lawn mower" move thrown in at the end. What can I say, when Beyonce or Rhianna are playing I gotta move.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v19.nonxt5.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3Db99872a116160e1f%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331207369%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D3C5550CBF172A679D2EA866F4970103DFCC7A6D1.239CE582E7543593CA84DBBCC432C5B743A9C528%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3Db99872a116160e1f%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DhruFioe5gPWgDW3N51mzpdgqDY4&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Moon Festival

We recently discovered the wonderful holiday of the "moon festival". I think this is a widely celebrated Chinese holiday that is anticipated and enjoyed by many people. The celebration is held on the harvest moon which was on September 15th this year. The climax of the evening is to sink your teeth into a moon cake. It was delicious! Others of my family may argue this though. I was the only one with enough good taste to eat and enjoy. However, the next day it was discovered I had developed a rash. My first moon cake rash....sweet! I hope this becomes a tradition with our family.

Life at the Farm

I guess it's about time to update my blog with all the changes going on around me. My parents and I have moved to Kennewick and are staying with Grandma and Grandpa Kellogg at their house. It's great, I get to play with the dogs, cats, chickens, cows, and llamas all the time. Though for some strange reason most of the animals avoid me. Teddy, my friend featured above with me, has mastered the art of disappearing as soon as I come through the door. The other great thing about moving is I have lots of cousins to play with here. I've gotten to hang out with Easton, Avalynn, Brooklyn, Conner, Kylie, Taylor, Alyson, Madilyn, and most recently Kaylianne (though my parents spent most of the time trying to keep me away from her). It's crazy, here's a picture of me playing at the pool with some of them.

Too many exciting things have happened to talk about all of them so I'll just mention some highlights.

We celebrated Mom's birthday last month, she turned 27, talk about ancient.

I've figured out how to fold my arms for the prayer and say kitty, doggy, and die!

I started getting to go to nursery two months early, my parents got called there so I get to tag along, who knew there was this secret room of toys and treats that I have been denied.

Mom and I took a trip to the Hermiston aquatic center with Grandma and my Harris cousins, I put a picture of me and Grandma Kellogg below.

I went to the Benton Franklin County Fair Parade and got lots of candy which was promptly stolen away from me by my parents.

For anyone interested in such things my Dad seems to really enjoy his new job at J-U-B, you'll have to call him sometime and talk about it with him, just remember we have a new phone number.

Memorial Day Weekend

A quick update on our latest adventures. Memorial Day weekend we had a blast, in spite of the horrible rainy weather, which shouldn't be allowed on holidays. Saturday my parents took me to Cascade Springs to look at all the waterfalls and springs. Here's a picture of me on the bridge over one of the little waterfalls. It was fun until my mom saw a snake and made us all leave.

On Monday we went up to visit the Sheetz family and had a great dinner followed by a trip to the aquarium. Here's a picture of me trying to touch the manta rays. I couldn't reach them though, my arms are too short. Of course after what happened to that crocodile dude I wasn't sure I wanted to. Overall it was a great weekend and I got to see some fun Utah places before we move.

I thought I should update my blog a little bit. I wanted to start off with a disclaimer to the blatant lies being spread around about Goblin Valley. The rumor is that I was a "fusspot" (to quote my Aunt) and noisily kept everyone awake during our night of camping. The truth is that I was doing everyone a favor, I mean we traveled hours to enjoy the beauties of nature and what is one of the first things everyone does, fall asleep! I just wanted to make sure they took the time to appreciate being outdoors, seeing millions of stars, being cold, being tired, etc. Also, my parents claim that I took up 9/10th's of the tent is an exaggeration, it was much closer to 8/9th's. I posted a picture of me climbing around on the "goblins".
Now that I have set the record straight I can move on to what has happened to me more recently. Saturday my parents and I went to a BYU baseball game and tailgate party beforehand. It was a lot of fun and my first experience with baseball. At the party we ate some JDawg's for lunch, delicious. JDawg himself was serving and was the guest of honor to throw the first pitch (does anyone else think that's really funny). I also got a free squishy baseball, sweet!! The Cougars lost big time against San Diego, oh well, at least I got to sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at the seventh inning stretch. Here's a picture of me with Cosmo the Cougar, talk about scarrrry! I can't believe my parents dragged me over there.

Dad is trying to finish up all his calculations and get his thesis written in the next two weeks, so he's been a little stressed. The nice thing is that he's been working on it at home on his laptop so I get to see him more. Of course I'm suppose to leave him alone according to my Mom, but every now and than I sneak over and try and help him out by hitting the keyboard. It's amazing what kind of complicated things you can do to a computer just by hitting a few keys. Friday my Miller cousins came over and visited me for a little while. It was fun, we played Ghost in the Graveyard, but no one wanted to be "it" with me. Something about me babbling and giving away their hiding place? It was fun regardless and nice to see my cousins. Hope everyone else had a great week and was nice to their mommies yesterday.

It's My Birthday!

Hello everyone,
I celebrated my 1st birthday. I feel so old. My grandparents and mommy really loaded me with gifts. I would have to say, though, that my favorite part was the cupcake. I think I am beginning to develop a tast for sugar. I really did enjoy seeing grandpa and grandma Haws, even if I did squirm and kick to get out of their arms. Perhaps we can spend more time together at the reunion.

On another note, I will be moving to Washington State this summer. We got to go to the park afterwards and hang out with my cousins the Millers and Uncle David and Aunt Elizabeth. It was fun, I got to find a yellow Easter egg and play in the grass with Sarah. I walk around with the help of my pooh-mobile. I got the pooh-mobile for Christmas, and I really enjoy it. It plays songs, makes noises, and helps me get around.

I now have four teeth, two on the bottom and two on the top (with two more coming in)! I think these teeth will help ween me from some of the soggy foods and let me enjoy chewing a little more.

Here is an update with my folks. My mom was released from being the 1st counselor in the Relief Society today. I'm pretty excited about this, since she will be able to spend more time with me. My dad was hoping to finish up taking measurements for his thesis last week, but ran into a little snag. My parents are thinking about moving come July. Dad is looking for a job somewhere in Washington or Oregon. So far the options seem to be in Kennewick, Portland, and Bellingham. I'll have to keep you all posted.

Talk to you all later.

True Blue through and through

Hello all. Last night was my first introduction to the sporting world. I took my parents and their friends to the BYU vs UNLV game on Saturday. It was chaos, we had to park so far away, I thought my face would freeze off before we got to the Marriot Center. Who knew that so many people went to these games. Plus they blockade all the nice parking for the "cougar club", whatever. BYU delivered a whipping to UNLV, go Cougs!! Here is a picture of me at the game, I was a little out of it most of the time. I've been teething and very unhappy so my parents drugged me up on infant tylenol right before the game. Still, it was a lot of fun and since everyone else was yelling, I decided to behave and let others be in charge of making lots of noise for once.

The second worst day of my life

This week started out just fine as usual until the second worst day of my life. The worst day of my life was actually the first day of my life. I'm sure it was horrible for you as well...if you remember. Anyway...here it goes...the second worst day of my life.
On Friday I was admitted to the Primary Childrens hospital in Salt Lake City to take care of my hypospadia. My dad came in at about 5:50 am and pulled me out of my crib and strapped me into the car seat. What a rude awakening! I soon forgot about it as my mom drove me to Salt Lake City in the softly falling snow and I fell asleep. The waiting room was fun, I spent my time trying to play with bigger kids that would push me over and yell "No, go away!" That didn't deter me though, I figured it was all in good fun, and I knew they really wanted me to take their toys away from them. Once we got to the Pre Op I finally realized I hadn't been fed in over nine hours and I let them know that displeased me a lot. Some weirdo in a blue scrub outfit talked to me in a funny voice and the next thing I knew I was being wheeled away in a big red wagon and than I was sucking strange air.
The next part is a little hazy. I think I woke up several times, but my body didn't. I finally was able to open my eyes and saw a lot of people hanging around me with strange looks on their faces. I noticed I didn't have any clothes on, and I think I was stabbed several times with some sort of a needle. You'll have to ask my mom about it. It was terrible. Seeing how these dense people didn't understand what I was trying to tell them, I resorted to screaming. My mom showed up and gave me some sugary water. I wasn't all that impressed with the dining services. Anyway, my body felt horrible. Mom took me home and I slept most of the day. I was in a little bit of pain, but I'm tough. By the next morning I was back to normal.
